Mary Kathryn McCarrell Burton, 95, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Sunday, February 22, 2015. She was born in Greenville, SC and moved to St. Petersburg in 2002 from Richmond, VA where she lived for 50 years and was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. She was a retired nurse. She is survived by 2 daughters, Mary K. (John) Wilson, Virginia Burton (Bill) Stringer, both of St. Petersburg; 1 son, Joseph M. (Gloria) Burton, Sr. of Yorktown, VA; 1 step son, Robert T. (Beverly) Hedges of Boise, ID; 10 grandchildren, Paul B. (Jackie) Wilson, J. Mark (Angela) Wilson, Patrick J. (Dagmara) Wilson, David C. (Michelle) Stringer, Melissa Alice Stringer, Melanie E. Stringer, Andrea Dale (Brad) Martindale, Joseph M. Burton, Jr., Deborah H. (Hooman) Bahrani, Jennifer (Bob) Hedges; and 10 great grandchildren; Caroline Burton, Abigail Stringer, Lindsay Wilson, Grace Stringer, Landis Wilson, Logan Wilson, Mason Stringer, John Paul Wilson, Kalin Wilson, and Kassian Wilson. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Kate McCarrell, her husband of 41 years, Robert S. Burton, Jr., and a brother, Joseph D. McCarrell, Jr. A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home 4100-16th Street North with The Rev. Georgene D. Conner, officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Richmond, VA. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Friends Of Strays, Inc. or other favorite charity. $(document).ready(function(){ });
