Everett Chaney, 96, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Monday, May 6, 2002 at Carrington Place Convalescent Center. He was born in Park County, IN to Fred Chaney and Minda Howard Chaney and moved to St. Petersburg in 1987 from Clinton, IN where he was the owner of a coal hauling company, was a 50 year member of the Jerusalem Masonic Lodge #99 F&AM and a volunteer fireman. He was a member of the Scottish Rite in Terre Haute, IN, Vermillion County Low Twelve Club, and the Park County Low Twelve Club. He raised and raced standard bred Sulky horses. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Norma, one daughter, Marlene Thomas of Franklin, IN, one sister Florence Wake of St. Petersburg, three grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
