October 25th, 1927 - March 13th, 2011
Ellen A. Crow, 83, of Seminole, Florida, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011. She was born in Summit, GA and moved to St. Petersburg in 1950 from Knoxville, TN. She was the head of the ECG department at St. Anthony's Hospital for 10 years and was a registrar for the Florida Gulf Coast Autism Association from 1979-2002. Ellen was a tireless advocate for Autism Awareness and volunteered to the cause for over 30 years. She was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church since 1951 where she taught four year olds in Sunday school for over 50 years and was head of the Social Committee. She is survived by 2 sons, Larry of Palm Harbor, Brian of Seminole; 2 brothers, Robert Adams, Ira Adams; 4 half brothers, Mark Adams, Todd Adams, Paul Adams, Joel Adams and 2 grandsons, L.D. and Gray. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard J. Crow and a sister Ann Savage. Friends may call 4:00 to 6:00 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home 4100-16th St. No. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church 4901-5th Ave. No. with Rev. Gene White and Rev. Mickey Burroughs officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
