Hazel L. "Laurie" Dion, 66 of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, January 6, 2001 at Bayfront Medical Center. She was born in Petersburg, VA, and came here in 1950 from Baltimore, MD. She was a cashier at the Publix supermarket in the southsdie shopping center for many years, then was a waitress at the Clock restaurant on 4th street north for 13 years and most recently was a cashier at Luby's Cafeteria on 4th street north. She was protestant. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Richard A., one stepson, David R. Dion of St. Petersburg, three sisters, Judith Gentsch of St. Petersburg, Brenda Micallef of Palm Harbor, Anita Howard of Hamilton, Ohio, and one brother William A. Beasley , two granchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family request memorials to the American Cancer Society , Pinellas County unit, P.O.
