Hugh Lee Doss

Hugh L. Doss, 79, of Largo, Florida, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010. He was born in Canton, GA and moved to St. Petersburg in 1963 from Lakeland, Florida. Hugh was a 1951 graduate of Piedmont College in Demorest, GA with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and was the owner of Doss Construction Company. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church and the Joint Heirs Sunday School class. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte M.; daughter, Karen M. (Michael) Crepeau of Largo; son, Michael L. Doss of Portland, OR; sisters, Linda Lawson of Canton, GA, Nancy McClure of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Lindsay, Allison, Henry, Malik, Manicia, Aliah; and great grandson, James. Friends may call 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home 4100-16th St. No. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, 4901-5th Ave. No. with Rev. Mickey Burroughs officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
