Edgar, William B. "Bill," Sr., 67, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at home under the care of The Hospice Of The Florida Suncoast. He was born in Baltimore, MD and came to St. Petersburg in 1962 from Greenville, SC. He was a 1960 graduate of Georgia Tech. with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and was an Electrical Engineer and Manager with General Telephone Co. in Tampa. He was an avid sailor and licensed Coast Guard Captain and an instructor at the Annapolis Sailing School in St. Petersburg. He had a passion for golfing, reading, the theater and classical music. He served in the Army. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor H. "Petie," one son, William B. "Bill" Edgar, Jr. of Tucson, AZ; and one sister, Alice Edgar Williams of Atlanta, GA.
