Gray, Marion E., 86, of St. Petersburg, Florida died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001 at Bayfront Medical Center. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and came here in 1972 from Haines Falls, NY. She attended Long Island University and was a graduate of Prospect Heights Hospital School Of Nursing and was a member of its alumnae. She was a Registered Nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital for eleven years then was a nursing instructor at King's County Hospital both in Brooklyn. She was a long time member of Fifth Ave. Baptist Church in St. Petersburg where she served as a Deaconess and assisted in the All States Bible Class and was currently a member of Pinellas Community Church. She was a 63 year member and Past Matron and District Deputy of Esther Chapter #2 now Heritage Chapter OES and was also District Deputy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter in New York. She is survived by four sons, David S. of Pinehurst, NC, Kenneth J. of Poughkeepsie, NY, Paul W. of St. Petersburg, James R. of Bethel, VT, ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, James S. Gray. The family requests memorials to - The Masonic Medical Research Lab c/o Shekomeko Lodge F&AM P.O.
