Louise E. Grim
April 27th, 1921 - April 7th, 2008
Louise E. Grim was born in Hedgesville, West Virginia on April 27, 1921. She was the oldest daughter of Charles Bernard and Laura Everhart. The family moved to Pennsylvania where her sister, Mary Margaret, was born. Their father met an untimely death and shortly thereafter the family moved to Winchester, Virginia. Louise attended Hanley High School in Winchester, where she excelled at History and participated in Basketball and Cheerleading. She graduated in 1939. After graduation, Louise was introduced at a square dance to her future husband, Tippy Grim, a truck driver and diesel mechanic with Allegheny Freight Lines. They were married in 1940. During their early married life, both Louise and Tippy worked for Allegheny. They enjoyed country music, dancing, and stock car racing. Their daughters, Gaylene and Joy, were born in 1947 and 1952 respectively. Due to health concerns and to be near her family, the family moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1956. Louise began her career in the field of finance in the early 1960's, joining Raymond James Financial in 1964. Her husband, Tippy, passed away in 1968 and Louise was left to raise her daughters alone. She continued working to provide for her girls, and retired after 38 years as an Associate Vice President of Mutual Funds with Raymond James. Although her work was an important part of her life, faith, family, and friends were her priorities. ******************* If you would like to purchase an Audio CD of the Funeral Service of Louise E.
