Service: St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Framingham, MA Mary Dakai Hammersley, 87, of Framingham, Massachusetts, died Monday, April 8, 2002 at her daughter's home in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada to Louis and Rose Weber Dakai and moved to Framingham in 1953 from Needham, Massachusetts. She was raised in Ashland, Massachusetts and graduated as the class Valedictorian from Ashland High School. She was a real estate broker and a portrait artist and was a board member and treasurer of the Friends Of The Framingham Public Library, a member of the Danforth Art Guild in Framingham, and the St. Andrews Episcopal Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She is survived by one son, Richard J. of Thetford Center, Vermont, two daughters, Joan H. Nutter of New London, New Hampshire, Karen L. Hammersley of St. Petersburg, Florida, two brothers, Alexander Dakai of Ashland, Frank Dakai of Oakville, Connecticut, two sisters, Dorothy Montville of Brooksville, Florida, Elizabeth Kalch of Jacksonville, Florida, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. $(document).ready(function(){ });
