Wesley "Wes" E. Hase
October 17th, 1931 - November 4th, 2011
Wesley E. "Wes" Hase, 80, passed into the glorious presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, November 4, 2011 at his St. Petersburg winter residence. Born in St. Louis, MO, Wes moved to St. Pete Beach in 1976 from Nashville, TN to become Partner and Controller for the Breckenridge Resort Hotel and then owner-developer of the Treasure Island Beach Club. He served in the US Air Force and then retired as a Lt. Col. from the Tennessee Air National Guard after 20 years of service. He was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church attending the Sharper Image Sunday School class and playing the Cello in the church orchestra. He was also a volunteer Docent at Florida International Museum. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna Pritchett Hase and 4 sons: Christopher A. Hase and wife Julie, Virginia Beach, VA; David J. Hase and wife Dorota, Joppatown, MD; William W. Hase and wife Polina, Davidson, NC; and Steven V. Hase and wife Ashley, Greensboro, NC; and 8 grandchildren: Jennifer, Elizabeth, Steven Wesley, Shannon, Peter, Andrew, Michael, and Sasha. Wes was pre-deceased by his father, Elmer L. Hase and mother, Alice Webster Hase, and grandson Allen. The Hase family celebrates Wes’ eternal homecoming after finishing the race. A memorial service with military honors will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church 4901-5th Avenue North with Rev.
