Fletcher, Dick "Fletch," 65, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008. Born in Omaha, NE, he came to Florida in 1980 from his native Omaha. He was Chief Meteorologist for WTSP TV Channel 10 for 28 years. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Cindy, a son, Sean, Chicago, two daughters, Stephanie and Christine of the Bay area, three brothers, Ray, Larry and Terry, two sisters, Rita and Sandy, and grandchildren, Hailey, K.C., Mallory, Ella, T.J. and Kayden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Alice Fletcher. A Celebration of Dick's life will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11AM at the Suncoast Cathedral 2300-62nd Avenue North, St. Petersburg. The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to Pinellas Education Foundation, 12090 - Starkey Road, Largo, FL 33773, or The Dick Fletcher Memorial Scholarship Fund at USF, Attn.
