Thelma D. Johnson, 79, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born in Columbia, South Carolina and moved to St. Petersburg in 1991 from Florence, South Carolina. She was a dispatcher at the Columbia, SC Police Department and a member of Faith Baptist Church, Pinellas Park, FL. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Charles L. Johnson; one daughter, Cathy M. (Phil) Ardis of Auburntown, TN: two sons, Michael D. (Patricia) Johnson, Chuck B. (Clover) Johnson, Jr. both of St. Petersburg, FL; granddaughter, Lori Bianco and 4 great grandchildren Visitation 10:00 to service time at 11:00 AM Friday, May 29, 2009 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Fred V. Cooley officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
