Johnson, Charles V., 88, of St. Petersburg,Florida died Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at his residence under the care of The Hospice Of The Florida Suncoast. He was born in Poplar Bluff, MO and moved to Temple Terrace, Florida 1960 from Jacksonville. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1997. He was a 1938 graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Civil Engineering and was an assistant division engineer with the former Atlantic Coast Line Railroad which later became Seaboard Coast Line and then CSX. He was a member of the Fifth Ave. Baptist Church and its Genesis Sunday School class. He was a former thirty year member of the First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace where he taught Sunday School and served as a Deacon, trustee, and treasurer. He is survived by two sons, Kipp C. and Alan K. both of St. Petersburg, one daughter, Kay L. Johnson of Brooklyn, NY, and six grandchildren.
