LeVar, Huddie D. "Buck" 78, of St. Petersburg, died May 22, 2009. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1931 from his native Tampa and was a 1949 graduate of St. Petersburg High School. He was an engineer at Pittsburgh Steamship Division of U.S. Steel. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a Merchant Marine Officer on the Great Lakes Fleet for 25 Years. He is survived by a brother, James R.(Barbara Jean) LeVar of Kingsport, TN; 2 sisters, Linda Lee (Kenneth) O'Ham of St. Petersburg, FL, Marie (Roland) Roehling of Pinellas Park, FL; a stepson, Wallace "Butch" (Barb) Carr of Shoreview, MN; 5 grandchildren, Luann (Jeff) Taylor, Mark Jasper, Jackie (Mark) Turcott, Nathan (Debbie) Carr, James Carr; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was predeceased in 2001 by his wife of 43 years, Lucille R. Blechinger Carr. A memorial service will be 3 PM Friday, June 5, 2009 at the E.
