"Kathy" Logli, 53, of Tierra Verde, FL, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at St. Petersburg General Hospital of Cancer. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa and moved to St. Petersburg in 1997 from Kansas City, MO. She was a realtor with Century 21Sunshine Realty - Tierra Verde. She was a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) certified riding instructor, at the Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy (SMART) and was a volunteer coach for Florida Special Olympics in riding and driving. She previously owned her own incentive travel company, Maxim Meetings & Events, and had been a Senior Meeting Planner for fortune 500 corporations in the Tampa Bay area. She was a member of the Welsh-Cob Pony Society. While in Missouri she was a Director of BTA, a large international trade association of computer and office technology dealers. She directed public relations and marketing of the historic Kansas City Riverfront District and was the Executive Director of the Main Street Corridor Development Corp, which directed programs and events dedicated to commercial revitalization of disinvested area in Kansas City. While in Iowa she was the Associate Executive Director of the United Way of Central Iowa; Director of Marketing at International Travel Associates where she designed, planned and implemented incentive travel programs for major corporations throughout the United States. Kathy's Association and Civic Membership and Involvements included: Member of Meeting Professionals International Appointed by the Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri as a Board Member and Officer of the Task Force on Riverfront Development. Appointed as an Advisor to the Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri on Tax Increment Financing for Economic Development Served as Advisor to Kansas City, Missouri on the creation and enactment of ordinances to abate prostitution and crime Appointed to the Kansas City Centurions Leadership Development Team Received Mayor's citation for volunteerism in Community Development, Kansas City Elected to the city council and Improvement Company Board of Directors of Weatherby Lake, MO Served on the advisory board of North Kansas City Hospital Served on the advisory board of Park College Equine Center She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Peter A.; one daughter, Theresa Duyvejonck of Davenport, Iowa; her father, Edwin Allen of Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, Larry Allen, Myron Allen, Tim Allen; one sister, Judy Willey; all of Altoona, Iowa; and two grandchildren, Trevor and Haley Duyvejonck.
