November 27th, 1925 - June 17th, 2011
Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Peters, 85, of St. Petersburg, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011. She was born in Chester, PA and moved to St. Petersburg in 1951 from Chelsea, PA. She was the Co-Owner with her husband of The Composing Room and also was a seamstress for Advertising Air Force at Albert Whitted Airport where she was a member of the Sunshine Flying Club. She later was a craft designer at Ben Franklin Store. She is survived by 3 sons George C. (Setsuko) Peters, III of Lawrenceville, GA., Brett W. Peters of Cape Coral, FL, Jeffry J. (Kathy) Peters of St. Cloud, FL; 1 daughter, Lori A. (John) Mims of St. Petersburg; 2 sisters, Phyllis Bonsall of OH, Kathleen Buckley of Wilmington, DE; 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, George C. Peters, Jr., a son, W. Kenny Peters, and brothers, Billy and John Armstrong. Friends may call 11:00 AM to service time at 12:00 PM Saturday, June 25, 2011 at E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home 4100 - 16th Street North, with Rev. Robin Hager officiating .
