September 1st, 1921 - August 7th, 2006
Walter S. "Chic," Pliszka, 84, of St. Petersburg, died Monday, August 7, 2006 at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. He came here in 1990 from his native Philadelphia, PA where he was a self employed electrical contractor. He was a Coast Guard veteran of WW II. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where he was a Third Degree in the Knights of Columbus Council #12603. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Theresa "Terry"; his daughter, Janet Pliszka; his son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Kathy Pliszka; his sister, Dorothy Bartusis and two grandchildren, Mark Yonke and Jaime Pliszka. The family will receive friends 10 AM Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Holy Family Catholic Church where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM with Father John Tapp, Celebrant.
