Mary Louise Proper, 82, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Bon Secours Maria Manor under the care of Hospice Of The Florida Suncoast. She moved to St. Petersburg in 1961 from her native Hudson, NY, moved to Senatobia, MS in 1988, and returned to St. Petersburg in 2002. She was the restaurant manager at the former S. S. Kresge store in the Southside Shopping Center and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church both in St. Petersburg. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Miles G.; one son, Gary of Senatobia; one daughter, Louise Strouse of St. Petersburg; one brother, Vern Andrews of Treasure Island, FL; one sister, Martha Ewasick of Hudson; four grandchildren, Robert, Rebecca, Leslie, and Lori; and three great grandchildren, Katie, Owen, and Emma Grace.
