Arden W. Rice, 91, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Friday, February 7, 2014 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. Mr Rice was born in Delavan, WI and moved to St. Petersburg in 1960 from Milwaukee, WI where he received a Bachelors Of Business Administration degree from the University Of Wisconsin. He was a Supervising Underwriter at Ohio Casualty Insurance Co. He was a Navy veteran of WW II, was a member of the Veterans Of Foreign Wars and American Legion, and was a member of St. Vincent's Episcopal Church. He is survived by 2 daughters, Diane L. (Philip) Geswein of Bartlett, TN, Catherine J. Mitchell of Pinellas Park, FL; 1 son, Gary J. (Monett) Rice of Pinellas Park; 1 sister, Erleene Smith of Rockford, IL; 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Jennie, Brian, Kimberly, Kevin; and 4 great grandchildren, Eric, Blake, Avery, and Micah. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Joanne M. Rice. A memorial service will be 4:00 P.M. Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. Vincent's Episcopal Church, 5441-9th Ave. No. in St. Petersburg.
