Kaarlo V. Romppainen, 83, of Seminole, FL, died Saturday, February 10, 2001 at Palms Of Pasadena Hospital in South Pasadena, FL. He was born in Hurontown, MI and moved to Seminole in 1999 from Zephyrhills, FL where he moved in 1992 from Dayville, CT. He was a heavy equipment operator for construction companies and was a Navy veteran of WW II. Mr. Romppainen was a 50 year member of Carpenter's Local #30 in CT and was a 50 year member of VFW Post #2650 and a Life Member of American Legion Post #21 both in Danielson, CT. He is survived by his wife, Alice F., one son, Roy of Woodstock Valley, CT, four daughters, Gail Hopkins of Woodstock, CT, Carol McCarty of Burlington, CT, Joan Messler of Juno Beach, FL, Nancy Mairano of Farmington, CT, two stepdaughters, Gloria Pollock of Zephyrhills, FL, Susan Sinclair of Seminole, FL, one sister, Derna Cohen of Las Vegas, NV, eleven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. $(document).ready(function(){ });
