Robert J. Sherlin, Sr., 72, of South Pasadena, FL, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at home. He was born in Forest City, NC and came here in 1978 from Port St. Joe, FL. He moved to Palmetto, FL in 1996 and returned to St. Petersburg in 2003. He retired as a trainer for Florida Power Corp. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of a VFW post in Palmetto. He was a member of the Terra Ciea Country Club and was Baptist. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Roxanne H., one son, Robert J. Jr., of Lilburn, GA, one daughter, Julie S. Hampton of Indian Shores, FL, four sisters, Martha Randall of Mocksville, NC, Betty McNair of Troy, NC, Libby Westmoreland of Rowlett, TX, Susie Chambers of Salisbury, NC, and five grandchildren, Greg Daniel Sherlin, Robert Jeffrey Sherlin, Taylor Hampton, Sgt.
