Robert Yeaman Smith

Rev. Robert Yeaman Smith, 95, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 at Palm Garden of Pinellas in Largo, Florida. He was born in Wellsville, MO and moved to Florida in 1981 from Milwaukee, WI. He was a 1951 graduate of Baylor University in Waco, TX, and a 1955 graduate of Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. He was a Pastor of churches in MO, TX, IL where he was a former Pastor of 1st Baptist Church in Springfield and WI. He was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg and was the Associate to the Director Of Missions for the Suncoast Baptist Association from 1993 to 1997. He is survived by 1 daughter, Judith A. (Lawrence) Richardson of Clearwater, FL; 4 grandchildren, Kelly S. Pike of Springfield, IL, Jill K. (Garret) Leach of Glenview, IL, Paula R. Sullivan of Buffalo, IL, Randall G. (Angie) Sullivan of Dawson, IL; 8 Great Grandchildren, Sean O'Hara of Springfield, IL, Kyle Valtille of Riverton, IL, R. J. Sullivan of Dawson, IL, Olivia Sullivan of Loami, IL, Chelsey Sullivan of Las Vegas, NV, Calista Leach, Alec Leach, Gavin Leach; 4 Great Great Grandchildren, Averie, Izabellah, Lilly and Brock. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Verda; a son, Robert Osborne; his parents, four brothers and one sister.
