Barbara McCall Thurman passed away on November 7, 2008. She was a native of St. Petersburg. She was the daughter of James and Edna McCall. Her father, James, preceded her in death. She attended local schools including St. Petersburg High School and St. Pete Junior College. Throughout her school years she was active in choral groups. Barbara worked at Union Trust Bank until she married and had three children. Survivors include children Dorraine Thurman, Lisa Smith and James Thurman of St. Petersburg; Granddaughter Brittany Broomes, St. Petersburg and grandsons Matthew Carter of New York, Joshua McBride (Callie) of North Carolina and James J. Thurman, St. Petersburg. She has on great grandson, Gabriel McBride. Her mother is Edna McCall, sisters Peggy Taylor, St. Petersburg, Maridyth McCall, Pinellas Park, Marilyn Sundlie, Marblehead, MA.
