Vernard F. "Sonny" Wagner Jr.,72, of The Mainlands of Pinellas Park, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at home under the care of The Hospice Of The Florida Suncoast. He came here in 1949 from his native Alexandria, VA. He was a Welder with Coastal Steel Construction Co. He also worked at Bayfront Center Concessions for 35 years. He was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church where he served as an Usher, the Lake Maggiore Ski Club, and the I.A.T.S.E. Stagehand Union. He is survived by one son, Rick Wagner of St. Petersburg; one daughter B. Luanne Wagner of Pinellas Park; one sister, Harriette Green of Markham, VA; three grandchildren, Shawn, of Clearwater, Justin and Desirae Wagner, both of St. Petersburg and one Great Grandson.
