Charles E. "Chuck" Welsh, III, 58, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Monday, May 30, 2005 at his residence under the care of the Hospice Of The Florida Suncoast. He was born in Somerville, NJ and came here in 1992 from Fort Lewis, WA where he retired from the U.S. Army as Sgt. First Class after 22 years service. After retirement from the Army, he was a computer technician for MicroSys in Pinellas Park, FL. He was a 2004 graduate of St. Petersburg College with an Associate In Science Degree. He was a Unit Commissioner of the Skyway District for the West Central Florida Council of the Boy Scouts Of America and was an active committee member of Troops 262 and 335. He was a former band booster at Northeast High School and was the 1996 Area II Adult Volunteer Of The Year for the Pinellas School District at Riviera Middle School. He was a member of Allendale United Methodist Church where he served on the Staff Parish Committee and Finance Committee, was the cook for the monthly youth Spaghetti dinners, and was a member of the United Methodist Men and volunteered with the S.H.A.R.E. program. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Grey Y.; one son, Charles E., IV, "Charlie;" one daughter, Rachael P. Welsh both of St. Petersburg; one brother, Robert V. Welsh of Freeport, FL; one sister, Janice M. Kemp of Milton, FL; two nieces, Kim and Cassandra and a nephew, Christopher.
