John Faulkner Wilkinson, Jr., 64, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 after a brief battle with Cancer. He was born in Evanston, IL and moved to St. Petersburg in 1953 from Radnor Township, PA. He was a 1965 graduate of St. Petersburg High School, 1969 graduate of Florida State University, and a 1973 graduate of Pace University in New York City with a MBA Degree. Prior to his present position as President of his own Accounting firm, he was a partner with Dwight Darby & Co. in Tampa for over 20 years. He was an adjunct professor at USF, University Of Tampa, and Eckerd College. He established a scholarship at Florida State University for Master's Level Accounting students and was a member of the FICPA Board Of Governors and Past President of West Coast Chapter. He was an Alumnus of the American Boychoir in Princeton, NJ. He served in the Army National Guard. He is survived by his son, John F. Wilkinson, III of Nashville, TN; his daughter, Rebecca Wilkinson-Shields of Tarpon Springs, FL; a sister, Mary Susan Wilkinson of Homosassa, FL; 2 grandchildren, Talan and Kennedy; and his former wife of 21 years, Jill Wilkinson. $(document).ready(function(){ });
