William "Willy" C. Wilson
November 9th, 1929 - April 1st, 2007
William C. "Willy," Wilson, 77, of Floral City, Florida and formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at the Hospice Care Unit Of Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida. He was born in St. Petersburg, attended Florida Military Academy, and was a 1947 graduate of Shorecrest Preparatory School. He was a Stereotyper and Camera Man at the St. Petersburg Times for 35 years. He retired in 1985 and was a member of the Silver Key Club. He moved to Floral City in 1993 where he enjoyed growing plants, especially muscadine grapes, and making his own wine. He managed a complete vineyard near Bushnell for many years and sold "U-Pick grapes" and was a member of the Grape Growers' Association. He collected antique hand tools and was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He enjoyed traveling. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy I.; two daughters, Cheryl and husband John Gramigna of Lawrenceville, GA, Laurie W. and husband John DeRussy of Canton, GA; one sister, Louise and husband Bill Braley of Dayton, OH and Seminole, FL; and five grandchildren, Megan and husband Josh Holt, Peyton Gramigna, Nathan DeRussy, Scott DeRussy, and Emma DeRussy. He was predeceased by two sons, Chuck Wilson in 1975 and Steve Wilson in 1986. The family request memorials to: Hospice Of Citrus County P.O.
