Lea, Alfred G., 88, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008 at Woodside Hospice House. He was raised in High Point, NC and moved to Florida in 1952. He was a Colonel in the Air Force Reserve and served as a fighter pilot in WWII. Alfred owned Standard Underwriters Insurance Agency during the 1950's, 60's and 70's. He was an avid golfer and a charter member of the Seminole Country Club. Alfred is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn B.; his two daughters and sons-in-law: Diane & Dan Phillips, High Point, NC and Barbara & Jim Scott, Edgewater, FL; his grandchildren: Brian Phillips, Matthew Scott and Elizabeth Scott and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Sean Phillips. For those who wish, donations may be made to Woodside Hospice House. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home-Tyrone Chapel
