Susan Elizabeth McCann
February 4th, 1957 - April 7th, 2008
McCann, Susan E. "Suzy," 51, passed away at her home on April 7, 2008. She was born in Ketchikan, Alaska and in 1994 moved to St. Petersburg with her family. She worked at the Vinoy Country Club in the Pro Shop. She loved playing golf, bingo and spending time with her friends at Paisano's. Preceded in death by her parents, Alfie and Nancy. She is survived by her children; Greg, Jeff, Mike and Maggie, granddaughter, Molly, husband Bob, sisters Linda and Marla and brother, Doug. Suzy was a wonderful mother, wife and friend. We loved her deeply and will miss her. She passed the way she lived with grace, compassion and pride. Cancer may have taken her life but it couldn't quench her fiery Alaskan spirit. Her three year fight ended when her heart could no longer take the strain but she never gave in. Suzy was extremely proud of her Alaskan and Native heritage. She passed to the other side now but her spirit is still here with us. She will give us a pat on the head if we need to straighten up and fly right. In lieu of flowers family prefers donations be made to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Family requests casual attire for the viewing on Thursday, April 10, from 10-12 at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. St. N, St. Petersburg, FL.
