March 22nd, 1920 - April 24th, 2008
Spoor, Virginia Lee, 88, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at St. Anthony's Hospital. She was past President of St. Anthony's Hospital Auxiliary and served as Hospitality Chairwoman at The Allegro at College Harbor. She devoted much of her time to various Catholic charities. Her most important contribution in her life was the love and devotion she demonstrated to her husband of 65 years, her 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and her many friends. She is survived by her dearest husband, Gordon; proud mother to Patricia Charles Stumb Jr., Peggy Mike Hopkinson Spoor, Dody Lee Duve, F. Gordon Christine Spoor; Honey-Gram to Mary Beth Eric Hall, Charles E. Cleamuda Stumb III, Gretchen Anne Clearwater, Thomas G. Clearwater, W. Gordon Tiffiny Spoor II, Matthew L. Laurie Spoor, James Russell Amy Spoor, Danielle Marie Spoor; loving great-grandmother to Anna, Julia, Lilly, Jack, Emma, Haley, Jesse, F. Gordon Spoor III Tripp; and sister to Thomas C. Barbara Megargle. A viewing will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2008 from 5 - 8 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. N. A mass celebrating her life will be held on Monday at 11 am at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1800-12th St. N. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Anthony's Hospital Auxiliary.
