September 18th, 1925 - April 23rd, 2008
Brett, Irene Proulx, 82, of St. Petersburg, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, April 23rd at Northside Hospital. She was born in Lebanon, NH and moved to St. Petersburg in 1945 from NJ. She dedicated her life to her family and friends. Irene loved traveling and saw much of the country and later in life enjoyed spending summers in her NC home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul A. Proulx and Peter Brett; 2 sisters and 1 brother. Irene is survived by her loving family: Darlene Proulx-Dietrich Chris, Linda Proulx-Davis, Gary R. Proulx Beth, Renee Proulx-Whitmill, P. David Proulx Jody, Les Bostick Donna; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; her sister: Thelma, NJ; brother: Fred, CA and her loving companion: Al Christian. The family has requested donations be sent to: Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Fwy., Ste. 250, Dallas, TX 75244, the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312, or to the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Irene's life will be held on Monday, April 28th at 3pm in the chapel of Pasadena Community Church, 112 - 70th Street South, St. Petersburg.
