March 5th, 1923 - June 23rd, 2008
Guagnini, Charles A. "Chuck", 85, of Largo, passed away on June 23, 2008 at Bay Pines Veteran's Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and served for over the 30 years in the US Army, retiring as Master Sergeant. Charles was highly decorated, having received 2 Bronze Stars and 3 Purple Hearts and numerous other notable service medals. He served in WWII, the Korean Conflict and also did 3 tours of duty in Vietnam. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Guagnini. He is survived by his son, Anthony Guagnini; his daughter, Sabine Pastier; his step-son, James Anderson; and daughter, Gail Silano; several grandchildren and his brother, Bernard Guagnini. A visitation will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 9:30am until service time of 10am at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home-Tyrone Chapel, 7820 38th Ave N. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Disabled Veterans of America or to the SPCA.
