Andrews, Nancy Lee, 80, of St. Petersburg, died September 2, 2008 at her home. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Fauquier County, VA, she graduated from St. Margaret's School in Tappahannock, VA and Marjorie Webster's School for girls in Washington, D.C. She came to St. Petersburg from the Plains, VA in 1948 to study dance. She retired at age 72 from the St. Petersburg Times after serving The Times for 36 years on Snell Isle. She was also a receptionist at Tomlinson School at Mirror Lake for 18 years. She was an avid reader, always thirsting for knowledge. She enjoyed her friends, her family, herself and playing the piano. Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret C. Lee. Survivors include two sons: James Christopher Lee Andrews, and Spyros J. Andrews of St. Petersburg; three daughters: Bonnie R. Gaster of Jupiter, FL, Meg Rouse of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Katherine Koshaish of St. Petersburg; three grandchildren: Lexi and Elyssa Rouse and Marissa Andrews; her brother, Robert E. Lee; and sister, Ann Harrison. A gathering of family and friends will be held at her home Saturday, September 6th from 7-9p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to The Hospice of Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater, FL 33760.
