Joyce Marie Hildebrant Miller
July 15th, 1932 - September 15th, 2008
Miller, Joyce, 76, of St. Petersburg, formally of Montville, NJ, passed on Monday, September 15th after a brief and courageous battle following a sudden heart attack. She was born on July 15, 1932 to Russel Sr & Alva Hildbrandt near Griffs Pond on Kingsland Rd in New Jersey. It was there that she met her 1st husband, Chester Galek and they had 5 children together. She attended school in Boonton Twp and went on to become a nurse at Riverside Hospital, then Morris View Nursing Home both in New Jersey and retired from her nursing career at Alpine Assisted Living Center in St. Petersburg, FL. She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Miller; her parents, Russel and Alva Hildebrandt; her brothers, Arthur and Russel Jr.; and her sisters, Patricia Schouten, Dorothy Oravits and Mary Middleton. Surviving family members are her first husband, Chester Galek, Sr. of Montville, NJ; sons, Chester Galek Jr. of Chester, NJ, Richard Galek of Bradenton, FL, Rod Galek of Montville, NJ, Kevin Galek of Tennessee; a daughter Debra Galek of St. Petersburg, FL; grandsons, Ian Galek of NJ, Jason Lucy Galek of California, Brandon Galek of St. Petersburg; granddaughters; Sandra Paiva of St. Petersburg, FL and Candice Galek of Deptford, NJ; great grandchildren; Dylan Galek and Evan Galek, both of California; sister-in-law, Louise Hildebrandt of Hibernia, NJ and other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 12:00PM Saturday, October 11th at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. M L King St. N. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home - 727 822-2059
