Brenner, Helene Wagner 97, passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at Westminster Suncoast, St. Petersburg, FL. Mrs. Brenner, formerly of Anchorage, KY, moved with her husband, Herbert, to the St. Petersburg area in 1967. Mrs. Brenner was born October 17, 1911, in Lawrenceburg, KY. She graduated from Harrodsburg High School in Harrodsburg, KY and from Spencerian Busincess School in Louisville, KY. After raising her family, she was later employed as an Executive Secretary and Stenographer with the Bureau of Hearings and Appeals, then a department of the Bureau of Health, Education and Welfare, Social Security Administration, United States Government. Mrs. Brenner was a long time member of Maximo Presbyterian Church and the Wednesday Sewing Circle Guild. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Stephenson and son-in-law, James Stephenson, Tierra Verde; a granddaughter, Elaine Dupuy, Baton Rouge, LA; grandson, Robert H. Orr, III, Covington, GA; and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 28th at 11am at Maximo Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to Maximo Presbyterian Church, 3200 58th Avenue South, St. Petersburg, FL 33712 or The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
