John A. Syllaba
June 10th, 1948 - November 22nd, 2008
"Jack" was born June 10, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to Pat and Martha Syllaba. He married Terri Partyka and together they had four children, Timothy Be Syllaba, Eric Syllaba, Sharon Bryan Szczepanski - the 'favorite daughter,' and John Carrie Syllaba. They have ten grandchildren, Joshua, Kyle, Casse, Brenden, Logan, Kennedy, Joey, Reagan, Bihn and Stephanie. Jack also had a brother, Daniel Syllaba and a sister, Susan Valore. Jack was a teacher…teaching Karate and working hard to achieve his own 5th Degree Black Belt in his mid 30's. Jack was a boss and coworker. Always treating his employees and coworkers like family. Jack was a giver. He was the co-founder of Christmas for Kids Motorcycle Run and received a Proclamation from the Office of the Mayor honoring him. He dressed up as Santa and gave out presents and being a motorcyclist enthusiast, he also enjoyed riding in the Teddy Bear Runs. Jack was charismatic and had a sense of humor… His laugh was infectious. Jack was a fighter…but never a bully by misusing his strength and skill. Always the gentle Giant and role model. Quitting was not a word in his vocabulary. Jack was a friend first. Forever praising, never holding a grudge and giving guidance when needed and listening when it was better to listen. Jack was a son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother…loving family beyond words. Jack was always heard to say 'God bless you my son' and 'I love you'. A Gathering will be held Tuesday December 2 from 5 - 7, with a memorial service at 7PM at Anderson-McQueen Funeral and Cremation Centers 2201-Dr. M.L.K. Street North, St. Petersburg, FL. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home 727822-2059
