July 7th, 1949 - December 5th, 2008
Bond, Robert L., "Bobby" 59, of St. Petersburg, died Dec. 5th at Hospice House Woodside. He was a lifelong resident of St. Petersburg and was a graduate of Northeast High School. He was a Licensed General Contractor and owner of Bond Construction Company. He built many homes and commercial projects in Pinellas Country including the Pinellas Marine Institute and Heritage Grill. He enjoyed golf and was an avid sports fan. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his humor, his infectious laugh, brilliant mind and big heart. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Bond. Survivors include his father, William Bond, Sr. and wife Frances; sister, Martha Bond Walker and husband Foster of Alexandria, LA; brothers, William Bond, Jr. and wife Mary Anne of St. Petersburg and Ninian Ulysses Bond, II and Pamela Miller of Highlands, NC; nieces, Amy Walker Searcy of Alexandria, LA, Lee Walker Methvin of Birmingham, AL, Katherine Hope Bond of St. Petersburg; and nephews, Foster Walker IV of Alexandria, LA, William Bond III, Bradley Joseph Bond, Brian Christopher Bond, Alexander Webb Bond, Ross William Bond all of St. Petersburg and Ninian Ulysses Bond III of St. Augustine, FL. Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 12, 2008 from 5-7pm at Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Center, 2201 Dr. M L King St. N., where a funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008. Burial will follow at Royal Palm South. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to Hospice of The Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
