February 20th, 1922 - January 19th, 2009
Davis, Raymond F. 86, of St. Petersburg, died Monday, January 19, 2009, at St. Petersburg General Hospital. Born in Berwyn, IL, he came here in 1971 from Lombard, IL. He graduated from J. Sterling Morton High School. He was a United States Navy veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific from 1943 -1945 as an Aviation Radioman Second Class USNR. He received the Air Medal for his participation in many anti-submarine patrols, combat air patrols and search missions. He was a lifelong printer until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, and all sports. He is survived by his son, Randy R. Davis, & his wife Lora, St. Petersburg, FL, nephews Donald & Pam Divis, Joey Divis, Ron & Sharon Davis, Ken Cox husband of Arlene his niece, deceased, many great-nephews and great-nieces. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Dolores Davis. They will both be interred at Bay Pines National Cemetery. There will be Military honors rendered Thursday January 29th at 10:45AM at Bay Pines National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the D. A. V.
