November 13th, 1921 - March 7th, 2009
Horton, Truman A. Jr. 87, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Hospice House Woodside. Born in Buffalo, NY, he moved to St. Petersburg at 11years old. He was a Seabee CBs in the United States Navy and a member of the American Legion and VFW where he was involved with the Military Order of the Cooties. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Dottie and grand daughter Michelle. He is survived by his daughters, Connie Zucker, Mary Shaver and Lea Ann Horton; brothers, Ken Horton and Charlie Horton; five grandchildren, Frank, Susan, Michael, John and Buddy; and 10 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 12th at Anderson-McQueen, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N., St. Petersburg, followed by inurnment at Bay Pines National Cemetery at 12:45pm. Flowers are welcome but donations may also be made in his name to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home-727 822-2059
