Richard Donald Renaud
December 7th, 1929 - March 6th, 2009
Richard Donald "Dick" Renaud, 79, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at his home in Bedford, Texas. At his side, as she had been the previous 53 years, was his loving bride Vincenette Vaccarella Renaud. Richard was born December 7, 1929 in Frenchville, Pennsylvania to Alphonse and Marie Bamat Renaud, the second of their five children. Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, Richard relocated to Niagara Falls, New York, working for Moore Business Forms. It was at this time that he met the woman who became the love of his life. Richard and Vincenette were married in Niagara Falls on October 22, 1955 and soon work led them to a new opportunity in Chicago, Illinois. Together, through the years they raised five proud children and counted among their blessings twelve wonderful grandchildren. Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Bamat Renaud and his father, Alphonse Renaud. He is survived by his devoted and adoring wife Vincenette, children: Michael Carol Renaud, Maryann Walter Miller, Carolyn Crawford, Ronald Kimberley Renaud, and Robert Renaud; beloved grandchildren Joseph Holly Kaminski, Dawn Kaminski, Jacquie Ken Fritz, Michael Mary Renaud, Christopher Jamie Crawford, Ashley Crawford, Nicole Crawford, Adam Miller, Christa Miller, Justin Renaud, Jessica Renaud, and Marissa Renaud, as well as two great grandchildren. Richard is also survived by brothers, Francis Ceil Renaud, Fred Lorraine Renaud, Gerald Ruth Ann Renaud, and a loving sister, Patricia DeWayne Fletcher, and 23 nieces and nephews. Richard will be missed by all of us who ever called him brother, husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, or uncle. To each of us, our lives have been blessed by being in his presence, regardless of the time in which we were given that honor. It would take a thousand years to detail every way that he touched our lives. We all love you and hurt terribly. We also know that the Lord has taken you home in his arms, and in doing so, taken away all of your hardships, illness, and pain. We collectively rejoice in the knowledge that you are home now, and one day we will all be together at your side once again. We love you Dad!
