June 14th, 1965 - April 16th, 2009
age 43, passed away on April 16, 2009 at Bay Pines VA Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. A native of Haywood County, NC, he had lived in the Hudson area for the past four years. He was the son of Eva Nell Cochran Sanford and the late Claude Sanford. He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard and loved the outdoors. Daryl loved life and his family dearly. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved fishing with his dad and his girls. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 17 years, Kristie Farmer Sanford; three daughters, Cassie Clark and her husband, Brandon, of Fayetteville, NC, and Brittany Nicole and Kodie Lynn Sanford, both of the home; three sisters, Sandy Pena and her husband, Jose', of South Port, NC, Janey Shelley and her husband, Bill, of Virginia Beach, VA, and Karen Edgar and her husband, Kenny, of Wilmington, NC; two granddaughters, Alana and Cali Clark; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial celebration of life service will be held on June 14, 2009 in North Carolina.
