Holmes, Judith "Judie" 77, of Ellenton, passed away May 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 19, 1939 to the late Frank and Florence Vander-Kraats in Patterson, NJ. Judie was a lover of all animals, and she loved caring for her pets, Covey, Cinder, and Chelsea. She was also an avid crafter; some of her favorites included: crocheting, quilting, and sewing. Judie was an accomplished musician and singer. She would often play drums and sang frequently in the choir at the Palladium Theater. Judie retired as a supervisor from Bankers Insurance Group. Judie is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Don Holmes; six step-children; brother, Frank Vander-Kraats; and sister, Bobbie Brooks. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, June 4th, 2016, at 3PM at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33704. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judie's name to the SPCA of Pinellas. For those who wish to donate online, please visit www.memorial-donations.org.
