Flaherty, Virginia Anne 91 of Englewood, FL, Winona, MN, & Rochester, NY, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. She was born in Rochester, NY, on September 1, 1924, to the late Walter Colburn and Elizabeth Calpin Colburn. Virginia retired from the American Red Cross as the Director of Nursing in 1986. Virginia is survived by her children, Three sons, Thomas E. (Pam) Flaherty, Michael J. (Marjorie) Flaherty, Patrick J. (Maureen) Flaherty; daughter, Mary K. (Paul) Pelissero; daughter-in-law, Debbie (Tony) Valotta; twelve grandsons, Craig M. (Jenn) Pelissero, Daniel J. (Tanya) Flaherty, Benjamin T. (Brittany) Flaherty, Gabriel M. (Tracy) Flaherty, Timothy (Maria) Flaherty, Michael Flaherty, Brendan Flaherty, Connor Flaherty, Sean (Michelle) Flaherty, Ryan (Melanie) Flaherty, Eugene Flaherty, Zach Flaherty; two granddaughters, Maureen A. Pelissero, Courtney R. Pelissero; eight great grandsons, Logan Flaherty, Caleb Flaherty, Cavan Flaherty, James Pelissero, Ari Pelissero, Miles Pelissero, Dylan Flaherty, Finn Flaherty; five great granddaughters, Kadance Flaherty, Kinley Flaherty, Victoria Pelissero, Eleanor Pelissero; Serena Pelissero; many extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene P. Flaherty; brother, Al Colburn and grandson, Luke Flaherty. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr. MLK St., St. Petersburg, Florida 33704. The Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center. Those wishing to view the live feed of the Celebration of Life can visit the website: www.andersonmcqueen.com A mass of Christian Burial and interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, NY will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Virginia's honor to Bon Secours Maria Manor at www.memorial-donations.org.
