Mathews, Josey Aaron Wales 35, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on October 4, 2016. He was born on August 20, 1981 to Donnie Wayne Mathews and Mary Anne (Gentner) Hammond in Akron, Ohio. Josey worked for Knight Communications as an installation technician. He enjoyed watersports, weightlifting, going to the beach, and spending time with friends. Josey will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He was a bright spirit that certainly has left us too soon. Josey is survived by his mother, Mary Anne Hammond; step-father Don Hammond; siblings, Jeramiah Adams Mathews, Evelina Rosalie Weimer; grandfather, Joe Gentner; aunts, Michelle Hipschberg, Maureen Palmati; uncles, Dominic Tomei, Joe, Tomei, Danny Tomei; cousins, Nick Sampson, Sofia Palmati, Angela Burton, Danielle DaVilla, Buddy Tomei, Mand Kortanek, Nichole Tomei. Traci McPheron, Monique Martino, Trevor Tomei; girlfriend, Renee Foshay; close friend, Neven Trifunovic and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Wayne Mathews; paternal grandparents, Pat & Kenneth Mathews and maternal grandmother, Carmela Genter.
