Jack Peter Doran

Jack Peter Doran, 85, of Pinellas Park, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017. He was born on November 6, 1931 to the late Peter and Mary Katherine (Kitson) Doran in Hartford, Connecticut. Following High School Jack served proudly in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Jack worked for 58 years in the Cemetery and Funeral Industry as a manager and salesman. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting model cars, classical music, NASCAR and traveling. Jack was especially fond of the special trip to Ireland that he made with his wife, Maryanne and his recent trip to visit his lifelong friends in Connecticut. He was a lifelong member of the VFW in Hartford, Connecticut. Jack will be deeply missed; his lack of presence will leave a tremendous hole in his family. He is survived by his loving wife, and business partner of 35 years, Maryanne C. Doran; daughter, Mary Katherine Davidson (Howard); grandchildren, Jeremy Soard, Jessica Fox; great grandchildren, River Phillips,Tanner Jack Fox, ; many extended family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 9- 10 am on Monday, March 20th at St. Catherine-Siena Catholic Church, 1955 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater, Florida 337604. The Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 10 am. Jack will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery with Military Honors at 2pm.
