Sherry A. Brewer

Sherry A. Brewer, 58, of St. Petersburg, passed away on June 27, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 3, 1958 to John and Ruth (Lake) Kalugyer in Richmond, IN. Sherry was a Program Director for IBM for over 25 years. During her time at IBM she traveled the world and met some of her greatest friends. In 1994, Sherry relocated to St. Petersburg from California and became an active member of the community. She was a member of Tampa Bay Fit, St. Pete Masters Swimming, Komen for the Cure and Tampa Bay International Women's Group. She was often seen around town sporting her famous Jeep Wrangler "Life is Good". Sherry was known for her infectious laughter, caring heart, generosity, liberal stance, and her strong will. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the beach and sharing "Good" red wine. Sherry is survived by her daughter, Stephanie L. Brewer (Jarrett Lesch) of St. Petersburg, FL; three brothers, Mark A. Kalugyer (Kirsten) of Liberty Township, OH, John W. Kalugyer (Marjorie) of Greenwood, IN, Donald G. Kalugyer (Adreine) of Greenwood, IN; five nephews, Austin Kalugyer, Jacob Kalugyer, Zachary Kalugyer, Chance Kalugyer, Malcolm Kalugyer; four nieces, Candace Kalugyer, Jacquelyn Kalugyer, Alexis Kalugyer, Rachel Kalugyer; Honorary Son, Shawn Connelly; many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by father, John Kalugyer, Jr. & mother, Ruth Joan Kalugyer. The family will receive guests for a gathering from 10am until the Celebration of Life at 11am on Saturday, July 1, 2017, Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center 2201 Dr. MLK Street St. Petersburg, FL 33704. Following the service those who wish to join the family are welcome to come along to St. Pete Beach, therefore casual attire is welcome.
