Randolph Lee Ramsey II, 28, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 14, 2017. Lee is survived by his father Randy Ramsey, his mother Tammy Hamlett Ramsey, his brother Alex Ramsey, his sister Cassie Ramsey and his grandfather John Ramsey. Lee is remembered as a joyful boy who laughed, told jokes, and took measures to make sure all were included in childhood games. He would ride in the car with his father and friends, "headbanging" to Mozart cranked up on the radio. In his early teens, Lee's smile and easy going nature began to diminish as the mental illness that would eventually claim his life took greater hold. Having found social interactions difficult, Lee sought friends through an online gaming community. He also had an affinity for animals and spent time with the family's and neighborhood pets. Having spent some time in the hospital as a child, Lee wanted to make a difference for those who were at John's Hopkins All Children's Hospital by starting a Star Wars themed toy drive. Lee was a caring person who always strived to make those around him feel loved and welcomed. Even in death he has helped as many as sixty people as an organ donor. There will be a funeral service for Lee on Saturday, August 26, 2017 starting at 12 noon at the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, 140 Fourth Street North, St. Petersburg, FL.
