Matlock, Dorothy Belowski 80, of Tampa, passed away May 3rd 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Chicago, IL in 1932. After working at an orthodontic practice and as a professional musician, she married Kenneth J. Matlock in 1956 and the family moved to Florida in 1965. Her husband preceded her in death in 2009 after 53 years of marriage. She devoted her life to caring for her family and spent many years volunteering at schools and at All Children's Hospital. She traveled the world, from Japan to Norway, but was especially fond of Las Vegas. Survivors include two sons, Jeff (Jeanette) of Oldsmar and Paul (Karin) of Valrico, two daughters, Barbara (Scott) of Pinellas Park and Gail (Mike) of Ponte Vedra Beach, four grandchildren, Roy and Carolyn (Eric) of Pinellas Park, Pierson and Elise of Valrico, and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Sophia of Pinellas Park. During her final months she was also blessed with loving caregivers, especially Shelia Pittman and Rita Owusu. Visitation will be held Monday, May 7th, 10:30am at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home in St. Petersburg followed by a service at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice of Hillsborough County at www.chaptershealth.org or All Children's Hospital at www.allkids.org
