Dorothy D. (Duff) Davis, 94 of St. Petersburg Florida and formally of Wanaque New Jersey, passed away October 5, 2014 at Suncoast Hospice after a brief illness. She was born November 18, 1922 in Englewood, New Jersey and lived most of her early years at home helping take care of her two siblings. She graduated from Dwight Morrow High School and was employed by Dr. Walter Philips as a medical secretary until her marriage to Jerome Davis in 1955. She then moved to Wantagh, New York and became a stay at home mom, eventually settling in Wanaque New Jersey in 1970 and living there until 2000. She was a volunteer member of the Wanaque First Aid Squad Auxiliary for many years and also a member of the Wanaque Golden Age Society, enjoying her golden years developing many friendships along the way. After the death of her husband Jerome in 1998, she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida to be closer to her siblings, Marjorie and Bob, residing there until her death. Dorothy was a member of the church choir and looked forward to singing and being with the Lord every Sunday morning. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Robert Duff; her siblings, Marjorie Cangiano and Robert Duff; and husband, William Jerome Davis. She is survived by her sons, Brian of Ringwood New Jersey and Gordon of Santa Rosa Beach Florida; granddaughters, Amanda and Cherie; grandsons, Kyle and Kendall Davis; great-granddaughter, Julianne Grace; sister-in-law, Marilyn Duff; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at D'Agostino Funeral Home in Haskell, New Jersey on October 27, 2017 from 7-9PM with a memorial service to be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Wanaque First Aid Squad.
