Carlos Alejandro Escobar

Escobar, Carlos Alejandro passed away in Saint Petersburg, Florida on March 16 2018 following a long illness. Carlos began his life in Elmhurst Queens, NY on May 2 1969, the child of parents Carlos M. Escobar and Lucy Escobar who emigrated to the United States from Cuba in 1962. Carlos moved to Florida with family as a young adult and ultimately settled in Saint Petersburg where he married his wife Tania in 2002. In 2003 Carlos and Tania welcomed their son Dominic, and their family further grew with the birth of their second son Vincent in 2006. Carlos' professional career was spent primarily in the technology field at several large companies in various Florida locations. He served the community as a scoutmaster for many years. He relished any opportunity to show hospitality to friends and family. He attained joy from personal hobbies such as collecting comic books and memorabilia, cooking, and many graphic arts endeavors. Carlos was preceded in death by both parents and is survived by his wife and two sons, his sister Nellie Sanginari and husband Kenneth of Albuquerque, his aunt and godmother Zenaida Fevola and her husband Michael of Saint Petersburg, niece Dana Sanginari of Kansas City, and numerous extended family. A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church at 10am on Thursday, March 22, 2018, and Carlos will be interred at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Clearwater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carlos' name to Suncoast Hospice (www.suncoasthospice.org) or St. Paul's Catholic School, St. Petersburg
